Module 3: Prototyping, Testing & Experimentation
Storyboard
The Storyboard is a visualization technique. You or your team can generate short scenarios as a series of sketches, illustrations, or photo collages to express how potential users will use concepts in proposed situations. This method helps you identify problems that would not have been obvious at the beginning stage of conceiving the idea. For example, imagine a newspaper article in the future that would be featuring your project or an academic paper; what would that look like? The key idea is to place the user or an object she interacts within the specific context so that you can learn about the many different aspects of an encounter and interaction. You do not need to be a great artist to create a great storyboard. It is not about your drawing capabilities but about capturing a situation in its entirety.
